My journey so far
I have been immersed in performing arts for over 20 years. After 17 years of dance and musical theatre experience, I fell in love with acting for stage and screen, and graduated from ArtsEd Acting degree in 2020. As an actor, my first professional steps into the industry have been an ITV credit, theatre roles in two plays, a feature in a commercial, and a lead in an award winning short film. As a young actor and acting coach, I bring a fresh perspective and a deep understanding of the current industry landscape. My age allows me to connect easily with emerging actors, understanding their challenges and supporting their aspirations.
This industry can be demanding, and is undoubtably unpredictable. With this uncertainty, it is fundamental to take control of your work, and be ready for whatever opportunity comes your way. My coaching offers a wide range of up to date techniques and approaches to get you prepared for whatever exciting project you have ahead of you. I work with you to perfect your interpretation of a character, eradicating self doubt along the way.
My most recent work has been coaching actor Nell Fisher (Stranger Things, Bookworm, Evil Dead Rise) :
“I have been so lucky to have Grace as my acting coach these past two years as I’ve taken on leading roles in Bookworm and Stranger Things.
She is just brilliant. She asks all the right questions and gives all the right prompts to help me build a character from the bottom up, and truly inhabit that character in a scene. She’s facilitative, not directive, and helps me make the right choices rather than making them for me.
We work together in person and online, and she also sends me notes and tips ahead of a particularly important scene. She has helped me prepare for auditions too and is a great reader for a self-tape. Grace has helped me take my acting to the next level. I can’t recommend her highly enough as an acting coach!”
